Resource types¶
Platform admins choose which types of resource tenants can use. Only resources of the enabled types can then be added on each tenant’s tenant resources page.
Select ‘Resource types’ from the ‘Platform admin’ menu.
Repositories¶
GitHub repositories are always available, for importing model code.
External storage locations¶
External storage locations are used by data import and export jobs. Each type is off until a platform admin enables it:
Local storage |
A location on the server’s own file system |
S3 storage |
Amazon S3 buckets, accessed with either the platform’s own AWS credentials (‘Default’) or a fixed access key and secret set on the resource (‘Static’) |
Blob storage |
Azure Blob Storage containers, accessed with either the platform’s managed identity (‘Default’), a storage account key (‘Account key’) or a scoped, time-limited access token (‘SAS token’) |
For S3 and Blob storage, choose which credential methods tenants may use, then click ‘Save resource types’.
Disabling a type¶
Disabling a type, or one of its credential methods, stops tenants adding new resources of that type. Resources that already use it remain listed but are marked unavailable, and jobs that use them fail before they run.
